Dr Victoria Ross is a fully qualified and accredited Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and chartered by the British Psychological Society (BPS). Victoria offers online therapy.
Victoria has extensive clinical experience supporting people as they work through the challenges that life can bring. Victoria’s primary aim is to create a safe environment where together you can work towards your goals while discovering new skills and strategies for improvements in the long term. Victoria has worked with people who have lived with a wide range of psychological difficulties; from longstanding and complex, to those seeking a space to explore and develop themselves. Victoria specialises in working with people with anxiety, depression, physical health and perinatal difficulties.
The main approaches Victoria uses are: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy & Compassion Focussed Therapy although she is informed by other models of therapy including Schema Therapy.
Experience & Qualifications
Victoria has worked in a range of settings including NHS & charitable organisations. Victoria was a Team Leader within a mental health care home before joining the NHS in 2012 where she trained as a CBT Therapist. She later completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2017. Within the NHS she has worked in outpatient and inpatient services across both mental health and highly specialist medical teams. Victoria has considerable experience delivering clinical supervision to both psychology and non-psychology health professionals. She has also delivered teaching at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level as well as workshops / presentations at both local and international conferences.
